Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers

Are those that assist in the readings

and distribution of communion during

the Mass. They are selected by the

Pastor and trained within the parish.

Schedules are made monthly and every

effort is made to accommodate the servers.

Religious Education    

The religious education program

is for the children of the parish in

grades 1-10. Catholic doctrine and

sacrament preparation is taught in a

structured, but relaxed atmosphere

in the parish hall..

Parish Council           

A group of 14 parish members

who serve as consultative body

to the Pastor. They also provide

a means by which the Pastor can

hear the voice of the Parish. Ten

members are elected and two are

appointed by the Pastor. Each

member serves a three year term.

Liturgy Committee   

Is to organize liturgy for the parish.

To enhance Mass through music,

readings, etc. Open to all members

of the parish.

Finance Committee    

Is an advisory  board to the Pastor

concerning the administration of the parish finances, budget and property.

Our Lady's Sodality   

Is to promote devotion to the Immaculate Mother. Meetings are held once a month with a different activity at each meeting. Money raised is donated to the Parish for various activities and organizations. Open to all women of the parish.

Catholic Daughters of  the Americas   

Is a  national organization whose purposes are exclusively religious, charitable and educational.Donations are given to many organizations. These meetings are also held monthly.

St. Vincent DePaul    

Is a national organization with parish affiliates. It's main objective and purpose is to provide assistance to the needy. there are no fees or dues. Revenue comes from the kindness of our parishioners, and funds are used for food, clothing, fuel, etc.,for those in our parish in need. Open to all members of the parish.

Childrens Choir    

Is open to all children of the parish in grades 2-8. NO audition is needed, only the ability to read the songsheet. The youth choir sings at the 5:15 liturgy Mass on Saturday evenings. from September to June.

Adult Choir  

Is open to all men and women of the Parish.  Once again No audition is required. The adult choir sings at the 10:30 Mass on Sunday mornings. Rehearsals are Wed. eve's.

Youth Basketball    

This program serves the girls and boys of our parish between the ages of 7 and 15. The program provides an environment to develop good sportsmanship, athletic skills and teamwork. Teams play in the South Shore YMCA Church / YMCALeague and CYO league of the Archdiocese of Boston

Baptism Coordinator 

Baptisms will be held once a month on Sunday afternoons at 2:00pmin alternating Churches. The Saturday evening before,  there is a meeting for parents and godparents.

Altar Servers

Open to all children in the parish who have received the Sacraments of Penance and Eucharist.

Altar Society  

A group of volunteers who regularly launder and iron the altar cloths and linens; clean and polish the candlesticks and sacred vessels.

Adult Religious Ed.                       

Provides an opportunity for Catholic adults to

gain a more mature knowledge and understanding of their faith.
